9-8-20 THOUGHTS

We must see the Church as souls with a mission working together in love. It is a living, dynamic union of the saved who serve one another and a world that needs saving.  Jesus Christ is the CENTER of all this!  
Eph 1:22-23    And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,  23  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

I cut the following from yesterday’s THOUGHTS about the preciousness of our fellowship.
“I note that this must continue NOW more than ever.  We must continually make efforts to CONNECT with each other.  All to All!  Each member is important.  This time is VITAL  If you at all feel UNCONNECTED or DOWN from lack of fellowship, please call, text, email or send a note to one of your elders.  To anyone! This must be a two way process.”

Please, don’t call me and ask me how someone else is doing.  CALL THEM YOURSELF!  TEXT THEM.  SEND THEM A CARD.  PRAY FOR THEM!  TELL THEM YOU CARE!
CONNECT!  PLEASE HELP MAINTAIN OUR CONTINUITY OF LOVE!
When you take a simple action to communicate with a brother or sister, you promote relationship between two souls!  In SIMPLE LITTLE ACTIONS, let’s say to each other...”I CARE”!
If you are like me right now, you need for something to happen in your life that isn’t  VIRTUAL, DISTANCED OR MASKED!   I suggest that WE MAKE CONNECTION HAPPEN!  Send cards and add some substance in encouragement and love.  Call, text...

This is something that has been said several times, but I NEED IT AGAIN!

Go to   rescuechurchofchrist.org    and print out a church directory.   Text me if you need a password.  STUDY THE FIRST NAMES on that directory.  Pray as you go!  Take some time!   What else do you have to do that is MORE IMPORTANT?   I’m talking to me!    MAKE CONTACT!  

But this is only one way.  This is me hunting down a brother or a sister.  Your elders are concerned with precious souls “falling through the cracks”!   What if someone is down and ready to give up and says NOTHING and no one makes contact?   No one CONNECTS...
You say “That’s the elder’s job...”?   Please rethink that statement.  It’s OUR JOB!  ALL OF US!
From love...  WE ARE EACH RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OTHER!  WE ARE SOULS TOGETHER!   WE MUST EACH “OVERCOME”!

My Prayer:
Bind us together Lord with your awesome love.  Help us to consider each other to stimulate good works among ourselves.  Keep our souls knit in this troubled time Oh God.  Help us to see what we can do, then encourage us to do it.
